Oakhurst Arts & Music Festival


 

Come Join the South Decatur Community Development Corporation celebrating The 8th Annual Oakhurst Arts and Music Festival held Saturday October 8, 2005 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM in the heart of the Oakhurst business district at corner of East Lake Drive and Oakview Road.

This festival features a juried artists market with over 60 artists selling a variety of work including folk art, pottery, jewelry, photography, and more; children’s activities including pumpkin painting, arts activities, and more; music stage with performances featuring a variety of bands & music.

Festival Parade

Oakhurst 5K Run / Walk

The Oakhurst 5K Run / Walk welcomes advanced competitors, neighborhood runs, walkers and baby strollers. Participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt. Awards for M/F Overall, M/F Masters and 10 year age bracket winners will be given along with your picture taken in the big moment.

Artist Market

The Artist Market is comprised of a limited group of about 65 artists, sharing their original works in various forms. The categories include but are not limited to ceramics, glass, jewelry, paintings, photography and wood.

Children’s Activities

Activities will be held in front of the Seen Gallery and include: Pumpkin painting, arts activities, face painting, moonwalker, and much more!

Community Pavilion

The Community Pavilion is an opportunity for non profit organizations, neighborhood associations, community churches, service clubs, agencies, and other neighborhood groups to share their information and services with festival participants.
